Jailbreak iOS 8.1 on iPhone/iPad with Pangu Jailbreak Tool

To surprise all iOS users, Pangu – the Chinese jailbreak team has released iOS 8.1 jailbreak tool for iPhone and iPad. It was a surprise release in such a short span of time since release of iOS 8 by Apple.
However, Pangu tool for iOS 8 doesn’t install Cydia by default. And it’s in Chinese and for Windows only. However, good news is that Saurik has quickly updated Cydia to make it working on iOS 8/8.1. Pangu jailbreak tool supports following iOS 8.1 devices:

• iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5, iPhone 4S
• iPad Air, iPad 4, iPad 3, iPad 2
• iPad mini, Retina iPad mini
• iPod touch 5G

How to jailbreak iOS 8.1 on your iPhone or iPad with Pangu 1.0.1:
Step 1: If you have upgraded your device to iOS 8.1 by OTA, jailbreak will fail. It’s important to take a backup of your device using iTunes and then restore your device to iOS 8.1 with iTunes.
Step 2: Disable Find My iPhone from Settings -> iCloud -> Find My iPhone

Step 3: Go to Settings, scroll down and tap on Touch ID & Passcode, then tap on Turn Passcode Off to disable Passcode.

Step 4: Download Pangu jailbreak tool from here (Windows only).
Step 5: Right click on the tool and click on the “Run as Administrator” option.
Step 6: Uncheck the box as shown in below screenshot to avoid installation of necessary software on your iOS device.

Step 7: Click on the blue jailbreak button once Pangu tool recognize your iOS device.
Step 8: Follow on-screen instructions and wait until the jailbreak process completes. The entire jailbreak process may take up to 5-10 minutes.
Step 9: Once jailbreak process completes, you can see Pangu app on your iOS device. Launch that app and install OpenSSH and few other tools to play with your jailbroken device.
